Partnership policy and collaborations
© INRA photographic collection The Division's historical mission of animal genetic improvement has promoted intense partnerships with the breeding industries implicated. This historical partnership has now extended to other fields of research and in particular to genomics via Agenae. Genomic progress of livestock species has made the questions of research, methods and tools merge: comparative mapping, genome sequencing, access to shared platforms, search for genes underlying genetic variability but also the policy of geographic poles have led to new collaborations with other communities of geneticists and biologists. INRA has also reinforced its partnerships with schools and universities, notably by an increasing participation in the early years of higher education, in doctoral training and continuing education. Many experts in our fields have been trained, therefore attracting higher quality students. On the international level, our partnerships are centered around important axes :
