The purpose of this meeting was to contribute to the mobilization of the international scientific community and the various stakeholders and to identify research priorities in agriculture. PROGRAMME OF THE MEETING Part 1: Ecology of Innovation: the diversity of innovation systems and the important role played by the vital interactive knowledge networks, which are indispensable for facing persistent and emerging challenges. Part 2: New Challenges Facing Integration: in today’s context, agricultural research must of necessity take into account the diverse functions of agriculture, multi-scale parameters (spatiotemporal and organizational), mobilize new disciplines and involve new actors. This part of the programme will examine the need for and the utility of different forms of integration, as well as the obstacles that need to be overcome in order to institute these approaches.
