[R]Biology
The fungus survives on plant debris, can persist up to 5 years on manure straw in the soil and is also present on seeds.

Conidia, forming in the acervuli, are dispersed by splash and the running water following rain.
The fungus is also transmitted through the implements during the cultural activities and by certain pests.
[R]Epidemiology
Spores germinate at temperatures ranging from 5 to 30 °C.
Infection occurs after a period of high humidity : 24 hours with RH 100% and 19 - 24 °C. temperature are optimum conditions for disease development.
Symptoms appear the following week.
[R]Treatement
Proper ventilation of the glasshouses.
Contaminated seeds from contaminated fruits must not be used.
