.
-Principal European pests: some pests burrow into the wood: the (Capnodis tenebrionis) on the roots, the goat moth
(Cossus cossus), the fruit bark beetle
(Ruguloscolytus rugulosus) and the European shot-hole borer

(Pseudaulacaspis pentagona), the Italian pear scale
(Epidiaspis leperii), the San José scale
(Quadraspidiotus perniciosus). The fruit tree red mite
(Panonychus ulmi) and the two-spotted spider mite
(Tetranychus urticeae) are found on the leaves. The winter moth
(Operophtera brumata) attacks the leaves and the fruitlets.
On the fruit the principal pests are the codling moth
(Cydia pomonella), the Oriental peach moth
(Cydia molesta), the summer fruit tortrix moth
(Adoxophyes orana) and the fruit tree tortrix moth
