Pollination


[R] Transfer of pollen from the stamens to the stigma of a flower of the same species, which makes it possible for fertilization to occur.
In entomogamous plants, pollination is carried out by insects, the Apidae ranking amongst the most effective pollinators. They are beneficial insects and should be protected.
