Phytophagous, Herbivorous

[R] Feeding on plants and either phyllophagous (feeding on leaves), xylophagous (feeding on wood) clethrophagous (feeding on seeds), pollenophagous (feeding on pollen), nectarivorous (feeding on nectar) or carpophagous animals (feeding on fruits).
Certain animals are ectophytic, remaining inside wood, while others are endophytic (miners, borers, living under bark, etc.). It is also worth mentioning whether the phytophagous individual is epigeous or subterranean and what its feeding methods are (chewing, piercing and sucking, piercing and lapping mouthparts).
