Our Future in FP6
We have submitted an Expression of interest for a network of Excellence
in response to Invitation EOI.FP6.2002 of the European commission.
Our proposal aims to ground pragmatically the relationships between researchers
and practitioners in situations of learning and change. Its field of application
relates to innovation processes and policy implementation occuring in
agriculture.
The scientific community has a role to play in developing the intellectual
and social capital for the kind of interactive learning and action among
diverse stakeholders
that is needed to meet sustainable development objectives.
To achieve this aim we will confront the network's theoretical and methodological
positions through seminars and carry out, through design of a case-study
base, comparative work on dynamics of change induced by contradictions
in the values
and meanings held by the actors and those promoted by public policies.
We will then develop European curricula for students and training programmes
for R&D practitioners.
