The Division of Applied Mathematics and Informatics (MIA) is one of INRA's 14 research divisions.

The objectives of the division are to develop new methodologies in different fields of mathematics and informatics covering INRA's major priorities for agriculture, the environment and foodstuffs.

The division has a permanent staff of 119 divided into:
-- 85 researchers and engineers;
-- 14 teacher-researchers;
-- 20 technicians and research assistants.

The division comprises eight research units, two of which are associated with schools of agronomy and two with other INRA divisions.
