The overall missions of the Applied Mathematics and Informatics
Unit at the Jouy-en-Josas Research Centre, are :
 to carry
out research in statistics, mathematics and informatics on subjects
selected for their own intrinsic interest or for potential contribution
to the Institute's fields of research
to take
part in multidisciplinary research in its particular sphere within
INRA or through formal cooperative agreements
to disseminate
new statistical, mathematical and algorithmic methods, particularly
those from its own research results, within the community of biologists
and agronomists. This is mainly achieved through publications,
software production and teaching and training activities.
