Specimens from Guadeloupe (20 males and 7 females examined) differ from all typical detexta from Jamaica and Martinique by their larger size and by their brown yellow colour. Both males and females show two different forms: the first one with antemedial and postmedial lines rather narrow and more or less broken, the second one with these lines broadened to large dark stripes, whereas the wing background is lighter. The latter form was observed in 7 males and 3 females, the former in 13 males and 4 females.
Holotype: one male of the latter form, Petit-Bourg, Hauteurs Lézarde, 24-XII-84 (see above). The subspecies is dedicated to Jeanne le Duchat d'Aubigny (Mrs Lalanne-Cassou).
