A very common species everywhere, specially abundant in xerophilic zones of Guadeloupe and Martinique.

St-Kitts, Antigua, Montserrat, Dominica, St-Lucia, St-Vincent.
Throughout the Greater Antilles (Hispaniola, type specimens of A. spiloleuca, A. subducta and A. monstratura).
Throughout continental America, from Canada to Argentina.
