Endemic from the Lesser Antilles.

A common and abundant species in hygrophilic zone of Guadeloupe (type specimen).

St-Kitts (D. j. phillipsensis Le Duchat d'Aubigny), Montserrat, Dominica, St-Lucia (D. j. jugator).
