Biology and distribution

Larva reported on Guaiacum officinale (Zygophyllaceae) in Puerto-Rico (Wolcott). This plante is now rare in the French Antilles, thus this common species probably develops on other plants.

Common everywhere in Guadeloupe and Martinique.
St-Martin, St-Bartholomew, les Saintes, la Désirade.

St-Kitts, Antigua, Montserrat, Dominica, St-Lucia, Grenada.
Throughout the Greater Antilles (Cuba, type specimen of M. cunearis).

From the south of the United States to Uruguay.
