SystematicsThis species was considered as a subspecies of Anaea troglodyta (Fabricius, 1775) in older books.
Biology and distributionLarva probably on Croton (Euphorbiaceae). The adults are attracted by fermenting fruits.
Endemic from the north of the Lesser Antilles. Found in St-Bartholomew in the French Antilles, but reported from Guadeloupe in the book by Smith, Miller & Miller (1994), although we never received any local confirmation.
St-Kitts, Montserrat, Nevis, Antigua, Barbuda.
