Our activity is focused on the research of potato viruses and their biological and molecular characterization. PVY is one of the more damaging potato viruses and the most prevalent potato virus in Argentina. Since the National Program for Control of Seed Potato established the obligatory nature of the marketing of Controlled Seeds, we been working for 25 years in the potato pathogen detection.
Recently we have obtained a new non-refundable contribution from the National Agency of Scientific & Technological Promotion for the implementation of the project “Development of techniques to Improve Potato Quality”.
