Description: The European network for the dissemination of aquaculture RTD information. Objectives include informing producers and their servicing industry about the latest research findings from EU funded programmes, as well as identifying needs for further research. This network unites the European aquaculture industry, favouring the transfer of expertise and the global development of the industry.

Description: The aim of this technology platform is to invite all stakeholders involved in the European aquaculture industry to participate in formulating the vision and strategies for its perpetuity as the world leader. Its objective is also to promote the transformation from a resource-intensive to a knowledge-intensive industrial basis.

Description: An independent European forum for farm animal reproduction and selection organisations (industry and farmer's cooperatives), including companies involved in related technologies. Within EFFAB, cattle and other ruminants, pigs, poultry and aquaculture are represented. The aims are to: stimulate research and research funding at a European level; indicate the important research axes for the industry to the EC;  disseminate research results to the industry, beyond the relatively few industrial partners participating in EU projects as full partners; provide a forum for the farm animal industry interested in and/or related to reproduction and selection.

Description: This is a grouping of stakeholders concerned with farm animal breeding. Animal breeding is a knowledge intensive sector, and for its competitiveness and future high level European research is indispensable. FABRE-TP aims to support stakeholder involvement in the set up of a partnership led by industry, to tackle major issues concerning sustainable animal breeding and reproduction in Europe.

Description: This network is a voluntary association of Central and Eastern European aquaculture institutions. The Objectives are to facilitate the integration of the Central and Eastern European R&D sphere into the European research area, and to collect and disseminate aquaculture-related information to members.

Description: An intergovernmental organisation that promotes rural development through sustainable aquaculture. The NACA seeks to improve rural income, increase food production and foreign exchange earnings and diversify farm production. The ultimate beneficiaries of NACA activities are farmers and rural communities. The core activities of NACA are: capacity building through education and training; collaborative research and development through networking among centres and people; development of information and communication networks; policy guidelines and support to policies and institutional capacities; aquatic animal health and disease management; genetics and biodiversity.
